Why I Write: I Write For My Right To Speak Up For Trayvon Martin!

I write for Trayvon Martin!  I write because I WILL be the change that I want to see.  Absent intentions, Trayvon left behind a legacy that will forever be engraved in our hearts and history books.  Trayvon has reminded us that we must exercise our right to "stand our ground" against the many injustices and prejudices that continue to plague our present and future.  I write for my right to speak up for Trayvon Martin.  My pen is the voice I use to reach the masses.  "Who Will Cry For the Little Boy, Trayvon Martin?" wasn't just a poem; it was a creative way of calling the readers/listeners to action!  Who will commit to standing Trayvon's ground???

Until next time ...continue to be a light ever-shining on the darkness of this world!

  1. I guess the next question is whether or not Zimmerman will actually be convicted. Hopefully, it doesn't result in a not guilty verdict. I believe the evidence is overwhelming.

    But this is America, so...

    1. Don, that is definitely the real question. And the prosecutor can say that the pressure the we, the people, put on them didn't influence their decision all she wants but we know the truth. If we did not rally and petition and cause a big fuss, there would have been no arrest. Point blank...period!

PS. Check my Table of Contents for my "O.P.P. (Other People's Poetry)" category. You might find something familiar. lol

      Peace!
