When the Lord looks at my heart, what does He really see? Everyone has an outer life and an inner life. The outer life is our public life that people can see. The inner life is made up of my thoughts, attitudes and motives. Only me and God know what’s going on on the inside. Often people go around today pretending acting one way, yet on the inside, they’re thinking something totally different. Their heart and their actions don’t line up. I have to understand that God looks at the inside. I can fool a lot of people, but we can’t fool God. God would rather me be open and honest than for me to go through life pretending or wearing masks.

My frat brother penned and shared this message via his Facebook status...and I've been noticing how on-point he is with these messages.  So I commented on this particular message letting him know that he will now be a featured writer on my blog. lol. "Sometimes, our days can be so full and busy that we forget how precious and fragile our time on earth really is. It can be so easy to allow little things to creep in and steal our joy. Maybe something didn’t go your way, or someone said something to upset us. Even traffic can cause us to get our focus off if we let it. But, we have to remember that each day is a gift. If we choose to focus on what’s wrong, we’ll miss out on the beauty that each day has to offer. Don’t let the precious moments of life pass you by. Don’t wait for holidays and birthdays to show people that you care."
